OH WHAT A FEELING
When we posted this car before the opening of SPOCOM HAWAII we knew this car was going to win the best of show award! And yes it truly did! This car would have won in 3 classes, Best Toyota, Best Old School and BEST JDM. But when it wasn't called up for any of those everyone was confusion to what was going on with the judging. But SPOCOM didn't fail and saved the best for last calling Lance Harano up on stage for the Best of Show Award.
On roll in day everyone couldnt help but to stop and look at this sick ride! You can't find these Toyotas these days in a condition like this. Back in the 80s and 90s these old school Toyotas ruled the streets with car enthusiast and what you normally saw was VWs and these Toys going head to head at races. Now days these car are instant import classics in the import scene and still sought out by many.
Lance has been building rides for years and this is his latest creation is a 1973 TE27 Toyota Sprinter. Lance has built many award winning Toys and Harleys for years. Finding this ride wasn't easy and finally settling in for a decent platform that was sitting in Japan. The build took over a year but like we always say "FINE WINE TAKES TIME" and for this 38 year old Toyota it looked as if just rolled off the show room floor.
The car was shipped from Japan and it was in decent running condition but not enough to be a show winner, so Lance tore this car down to bare body and nothing was left untouched. Lance himself did most of the work including cutting out the rusted floor in the trunk and replacing it. The body work and paint was done by MONKS AUTO BODY and what a job MONK did on this show winner.

Every thing was left untouched and attention to detail is what makes this build what it is. Finding badges like this isn't like going down to Toyota and buying it. Lots of searching was involved.

The engine was also built to show as well as perform The exhaust system was done by RAD MOTOR SPORTS using the best metal in the market "Stainless Steal" Ask how fast? we will just have to wait till Oahu opens up the race track again.
As you can see below this can't get anymore JDM than this and this wasn't a conversion but the original deal here!
We at Helluva Rides would like to give a shouts out to Lance for truly building the sickest Old School Toyotas around.

VANS
This is not your normal grocery go getter! Not your normal family van! A style that has been very popular in Japan for years is now hitting the shores of the USA. Many of us young car enthusiast are growing up and out growing our compact cars.

One van the caught our eyes at Helluva Rides is owned by SN and known in the cyber world as “Shawn the Monster” of Seattle Washington. Who would ever think of fixing up an Toyota Previa van. Known in Japan as the Estima it sports the shape of an egg. These are one of the ugliest cars to hit the streets but with some modifications this egg is hatched into one of the craziest vans around.

Shouts out to Shawn the Monster for building one Helluva van!
Check out the full feature on Shawn The Monster.

Here at Helluva Rides, we're working hard to bring you the most unique, hottest, and tricked out rides. Whether the ride is on four wheels or two wheels, we love the ride. So we are pleased to announce that Voltage Cycles will be showing off their prototype next gen custom electric bike.
We had the pleasure of test driving this half bike, half moped custom creation, and it's one of the most fun things we've ever ridden. This electric bike is fast and just about the coolest looking electric vehicle on two wheels.
Being electric, this is definitely an eco-friendly ride. You can get more info on specs at
