Our next feature of the 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon is about green rides. Hybrids and  Full Electric rides is becoming more and more popular each year. Toyota, Nissan and Honda each have there versions of going green. TAS 2011 had its fare share of these types of rides.

With gas prices only going up each year many aftermarket companies in Japan are tapping into this new growing market. Less money on gas = more money for mods! Are we right?

Some may ask what is a Hybrid car? To explain this in a  simple way, it as ride that runs on gas and electric, but mainly runs on electric via a battery pack.

Fully electric rides are just starting to roll out of the assembly lines and nissan has released there version the Leaf in the past year. Nissan had on hand a modified version at the TAS.
